File Scavenger® cannot recover data if the disk hardware has failed completely, such as when the disk does not spin up or is not recognized by the PC hardware BIOS.

File Scavenger® is compatible with all Windows® platforms. However, recovery on the 95/98/ME platforms is limited due to the inherent weaknesses of the FAT and FAT32 file systems used on those platforms. See “Chapter 11: FAT and FAT32 Partitions” for more information.
