Testimonials From People Who Have Used Our
File Data Recovery Programs

  • "... this outfit sells a solid product and backs it up!!!"
Gary Mickelson - Park Rapids, MN

By nature I'm a cynic. After having been ripped off by both big and small companies alike, my first thought about the web site's offer to download File Scavenger for free to see what could be recovered was 'yeah right'. Maybe I can see some files. I pay my money. Then how many if any would actually be recovered? It had a familiar scam ring to it.

But, being desperate to recover YEARS worth of data without having to send the drive away to an expensive recovery service, I downloaded the software. I ran the scan, and there it was-- 80 gigabytes worth of hard drive with everything Windows XP told me wasn't there. I paid my money. File Scavenger did its thing and saved every last file I needed! 100%! Customer service help was darn close to instantaneous. In a word, this outfit sells a solid product and backs it up!!!

I had read all the other testimonials and thought they just had to be too good to be true. I admit it. I was wrong. This program saved years of work that, if lost, I would have never recovered from.

    Thanks again for everything!

  • "Your product has saved my life and our business..."
David Law - Director-Redwood Entertainment Pty. Ltd.

    Hi guys,

Your product has saved my life and our business...

On Wednesday evening I noticed my data drive going slow (it contained nearly 5,000 compressed audio tracks used by our music production company)

I tried to back it up but about 10 minutes into backup it failed and gave a harware failure pop up in XP Pro. (by then it had overwritten my previous backup set).

Panic set in and I tried for many hours to get any computer we had to recognize the drive... but nothing, no drive letter, just a constant drive light. After a very bad sleep that night I found your product on the net, and was delighted to be able to try before you buy to see if we could get anything back.

The Defunct volume mode said about 4500 files were recoverable and I promptly paid my money and unlocked the software.

Well, 12 hours of constant klunking and disc activity recovered about 85% of the last twelve months work... it only seemed to lose those files that had been done in the past fews days.

What can I say but thank you... you effectively have saved us from ruin. It was more than worth the money and I will always reccomend your product to others

  • "The competition would either lock up or crash my computer when they tried to scan this funky drive"
Ron Shook - Forum Host for Discreet edit* and Incite/Matrox Non-Linear Editors at www.creativecow.net

    Gentlepersons,

After reading the testimonials on your site, I figured that you had hired a creative copywriter to scam the computer masses. Boy, was I wrong! File Scavenger saved my bacon. I'd tried everything to get some crucial files from a drive that Windows said was corrupted, including putting the drive in the freezer and changing the circuit board from an identical drive, all to no avail. The drive would still spin up, but no amount of futzing would rescue the files, including any of the competitive, similar or greater priced data recovery tools available that I could Google up. The competition would either lock up or crash my computer when they tried to scan this funky drive.

I downloaded the demo, installed it, and since Windows was still seeing the drive letter but calling it corrupt, I ran the mid-level recovery function. It didn't crash or lockup, and almost immediately began finding root files on the drive. I went away for an hour and came back to find that File Scavenger was ready to recover nearly all 22,000+ files on the drive. I've never more happily or quickly spent $40 to purchase the enabling key from QueTek. As near as I can tell, I didn't lose a single user generated data file from this drive.

I kneel at your feet. No Doctor could have prescribed a drug to equal the feeling of relief and satisfaction that your software gave me.

    Thank you ever so much.

  • "God Bless America and Quetek engineers......!!!"
    Marc Jones - UK

    Sir,

I must thank you personally and all your software engineers, whom devised the Scavenger utility.

I recently purchased 2 x Maxtor 120gb drives, to couple up in a Raid0 configuration, and use to store vast amounts of home video's in avi format, with the intention to edit them and copy them to DVD-r.

Now, having done all the hard work and copied across the 80gb of home video's, dating back to 1992, incorporating all the events from birth to teenage years for our son, we had a problem.

I had added another 2 x Maxtor 60gb drives, to run Raid 1 (mirror), these would store my new edited videos...

The problem was...... in fdisking and formatting the new drives, I actually commenced deletion of my Raid0 data!!!
I couldn't believe it...... i tried to rebuild the raid drives....but the whole contents were not visible.....!!! The worst thing still, I didn't have no backups and it was evident that the whole home video collection was wiped out!!! To say I was devasted, was true enough.

I tried everything, but the drive just was not visible and i believed i had kissed goodbye to my collection.. Still worst to come, i had to tell the wife!!! Oh boy!!!!! "Sh*t would hit the fan!!"

I panicked and called Ontrack recovery and other local recovery "specialists" but at $5000 the lowest quote, all because "it was a Raid configuration sir", I just was at my lowest..

I browsed through the internet and came across your web pages.... I browsed them intensively but thought it was a gimic!!! Almost like the "buy our software and fit a dvd film on a cdr without any loss of quality" !!! I thought it was just "spin". But hey, you offered the download FREE, so i thought it was worth a try all the same.....

NOW, this was the best thing I had ever done............... after 4 hrs...... lots of nail biting....... 97% of my 240GB of data was recovered!!!!!!! The demo identified all the recoverable files and prompted me for a license key..... now best to come.... the whole recovery program cost me just $39 ....... THATS RIGHT!!!!!! No Gimmicks!!! Sent to me straight away....... and guess what....... my data has been recovered and is backed up, hopefully preventing this from happenning again..... God Bless America and Quetek engineers......!!! Without you guys, i surely would be dead now.... oh yes, never did tell the wife!!!

    Thanks again...... Marco [Harrogate] UK

I lost a large amount of family pictures due to a system hickup. Your recovery software recovered almost all my pictures! Thanks a million for this type of software

  • 2003/06/11 - Mark Klier - TecTime GmbH - Germany

    EINFACH (und) GROSSARTIG!
Vielen herzlichen Dank. Ich konnte innerhalb weniger Augenblicke fast 1 GB an Daten einer aus versehen gelöschten NTFS-Partition wieder herstellen. Ein Lob auch für den schnellen und stressfreien Bestellvorgang!

    English translation:
Many thanks. I could recreate nearly 1 GB of data on a deleted NTFS partition within a few moments. I am also full of praise for the fast and the "stress free order way".

  • 2003/06/10 - Pedro Navarro - Canary Islands, Spain

After a hard disk failure on a RAID 0 configuration under Windows XP I though my 180 gb of data were gone forever. Windows could not mount the volume because a member was missing, and there I had very valuable information (all my work, home videos, documents, email...).

After trying several utilities with no satisfactory results, I found File Scavenger and tried the dead volume options. I almost shed tears of joy when I saw all my files appear.

You guys deserve the best, I have no words to express my gratitude for everything File Scavenger has done for me. Not only I got most of my data back, but I had to pay only $40.

    Thank you. Thank you

  • 2003/06/07 - Mario Slack

Thanks, this is working great now, I guess I must have been checking the wrong disk when doing the volume search. This program is great, it should be included standard with all MS OSs(haha).

Thanks again, I'll be sure to spread the word.

  • 2003/06/06 - Brian Hunt

Your product is absolutely a life-saver. I’ve recovered several important files using the Defunct Volume search that I thought were lost for good. Even though I back up regularly, some time-sensitive files had not been backed up for about a week, putting me out of sync. It’s all good now.

I’m now attempting to find the My Documents folder. I’ve already recommended File Scavenger to other people. Thanks for your good work.

  • 2003/06/04 - Jim McKeeth

My hardware RAID 0 failed and Windows XP tried to fix it. I talked to all my technical associates and they agreed that I was in trouble and out of luck since RAID 0 has no redundancy. I talked to DriveSavers and OnTrack's data recovery and was quoted between $1000 and $11,000 after a non-refundable $100 evaluation. They said rebuilding a RAID 0 array is much more complex and expensive then normal recovery processes. I tried contacting the manufactures of my hardware and received no response.

Finally a friend of mine pointed out your product that he found from a web search. I figured $40 was an affordable gamble since it was going to cost me $100 just to have someone else look at it. Glad I took this gamble because I hit the jackpot. I exchanged a few e-mails with support before I purchased the product, and they were answered quickly and accurately. I downloaded the Demo and was surprised to find the help very complete with exact step by step instructions on recovering from a hardware RAID 0 failure. I followed the instructions, using the default values for rebuilding the array and it quickly started finding files. I recovered a few small ones and they were fine so I purchased a license. Then I recovered some of the larger files, some of the more important ones and various spot checks. All were fine. It even restored the original file dates. I finally selected all the files and told it to start recovering. I'll check on it tomorrow.

Not only did I save money but I also saved time. The turn around for DriveSavers was 5 days, but I could have gotten it in 3 if I paid for rush processing. Sure I spent my time setting up the restore process, but OnTrack actually has the user involved in their remote restore process - so my time would have been occupied with them as well. Plus I have the added bonus of controlling the restore process - selecting files to be restored and where they are restored too.

I have used other recovery programs, and this is close to the easiest to use. It is definitely the most advanced. Almost takes the risk out of using RAID 0.

  • 2003/05/14 - Dale Archer - UK

I don't know how I did it but I screwed up one of my disks and turned it into a RAW disk cotaining precious photos of my family etc.  I bought a licence today. I've got my pictures back after spending a week almost in tears. You've made me a very happy man and all for $40.  I can hardly believe my luck.

The only way I can thank you is to tell all my friends about you and tell my enemies about Ontrack Easy Recovery!

  • 2003/05/12 - Matt Tokeru, London, UK

Wow, no software this life-saving should be this easy to use! Brilliant stuff, I've managed to recover 100% of my 33gb of lost data. Having a hell of a time figuring out where to put it until I can reformat the drive (planning on buying my body weight in blank cd's tomorrow), but thats a thousand times more preferrable to having no data at all.

Thanks again for a great program, $40 very well spent.

  • 2003/05/08 - Tina Aho - Aho Consulting Inc.

Thank you, thank you and thank you! On Tuesday evening I experienced a fatal crash on my hard drive, rendering it inoperable. I attempted to view the drive through another computer but received the message "drive is corrupt". On Tuesday evening I downloaded your program and within ten hours of scanning the bad drive, I had full access to my files for selected recovery. The sorting ability allowed me to sort by date and recover only those files since my last full backup. The recovered files were segregated from my other files and kept the "tree" integrity for easy re-integration on the new hard drive. Great program.

  • 2003/05/06 - Paul Miller

Thank you sir for your kind and patient assistance helping me learn the operations needed. The AVID Striped NT drives had just over 2000 files. Less than I thought because some of the files were 1GB to 2GB in size each. We decided to recover only the most recent project files. This amounted to about half the files and disk space. We transferred the drives and disk configuration to the AVID system upgraded to Windows 2000 and all is working well. Thank you again for the assistance in recovering our project.

  • 2003/04/26 - Ron Golden

Just a quick note to say thank you for all your help. With File Scavenger I was able to recover the entire disk!

  • 2003/04/10 - MJ Hasbi - Graphic/GIS Design Consultant - Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Dear Lords of the Data Retriever

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You . . . .

You guys ARE the real Second Chance. You practically ended my four days of misery within minutes of downloading the demo. The feeling was just undescribeable when I saw the list of files that I thought I'd lost forever popped up on running File Scavenger in Volume defunct mode.

Five months of graphic design and GIS work on a 2nd hard drive (80 gb Maxtor) 'lost' -- File Scavenger gave all of them back to me intact (FS2 listed over 200,000 files). Win XP recognized the NTFS drive only as a 10 mb empty FAT volume, another well-known hd software read it as an unused BAD volume. The list goes on and nothing close. File Scavenger 2 is KING.

For those likewise others reading this, let me say that you are on the right track and go ahead. Thanks to those who wrote in earlier testimonials --you guys helped lift me from despair and gloom just by telling your experience.

And Thanks a Million again Quetek.

I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for you File Scavenger utility.  I had a nasty situation arise when Partition Magic (normally a great program) trashed my hard drive by corrupting the partition data.  I thought everything was lost because, of course, I had neglected to back up some crucial documents. However, your program has brought me back from the verge of a nervous breakdown!!  I really cannot say enough good about your software and the $40 registration fee is nothing compared to the headache and heartache I have been spared.  Good work and I will definately recommend your software to anyone in distress!

  • 2003/04/01 - Anthony Ambrose

Hello to the good folks at Quetek:

I recently had the unfortunate luck of a corrupted drive. A 60GB Western Digital drive (NTFS) became the victim of corruption on my Windows XP machine. I had 11GB of data residing on the drive, 1.5GB of which was not backed up. After scouring the Internet, I came upon File Scavenger. Price-wise, FS was very competitive - some offerings cost as much as twice or even five times what you charge. I did come across a few other similarly priced offerings claiming to do the same job, none of which worked - they either refused to see my drive or froze when they tried to read it.

Long story short, I tried your program this evening, and am in the process of recovering my data. It's looking to be going off without a hitch. The scan took under an hour and actual recovery took only a matter of minutes to retrieve the 1.5GB I had not backed up.

I'll gladly vouch for your software if you'd like me to provide a testimonial.

  • 2003/03/30 - Elissa Mosquera

Thank you for a terrific product in File Scavenger 2. I was heartbroken after accidentally deleting (while holding down the shift key!) a folder filled with precious photos.  After searching the net for recovery programs, I decided to give yours a try, even though I knew the product was designed for NTFS and not for the typical home pc.  I was THRILLED that the product did indeed recover ALL of the files that were in the deleted folder on my home pc running XP!  I'm glad I took that chance.  THANK YOU!

I understand that you might not want to encourage people to use the product on other than NTFS, but feel free to use the above comments in your testimonials if you wish.  It sure was worth the $39 to give it a shot.

    Thanks again!

I could carry on for hours about how well this program works and how my 8 year old son found it simple enough that he was recovering my files while I was posting weather data to the web during a storm but I think just saying that you folks need to be aknowledged as the leaders in the data recovery business is enough said!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2003/03/17 - Howard Sheppard

I just had to send you an email to tell you how you bailed me out of what could have been a lot of trouble. I recently had 2 hard drives crash on me on my PC at work.I'm not sure how both of them could have died with the same symptoms, but I suspect a faulty IDE cable. I took one of the drives out and put it in my PC at home, but the system could only find a handful of files! Over a year of work, and all my email -- lost?! Arrggghhh!!!

I was told that I could send my drive out to a data recovery service, but that it would probably cost hundreds of dollars, maybe as much as a thousand! (I didn't think the church I work for would be willing to foot that bill.) Then I searched on the web, and found your software. I downloaded the free demo and ran the "exhaustive" search, after the "normal" one yielded only a few files. To my complete surprise, the process ended with the discovery of over 100,000 files in 20 Gigabytes! I quickly went back online and paid the $39.95 for the single user license, and ran the recovery portion of the program. It was able to recover ALL of my files! I couldn't believe it. And what's more, I have not found a single recovered file to be damaged in any way!

Thanks again! You really saved me a lot of headache!

  • 2003/03/12 - Ray Burtoff

Subject: YOUR SOFTWARE SAVED *TEN YEARS* OF WORK!

Roxio's GoBack + 2 hard drives = Total data loss!

QueTek's File Scavenger + 2 hard drives + a few hours = TOTAL DATA RECOVERY!

I have a PC with two physical drives; one for my OS, apps, and data, and one as a backup drive.  I recently installed Roxio's GoBack utility on my PC - BIG mistake.  A few days after I installed it, I began to receive write errors on every partition on my OS drive!

I ran multiple disk scans with Norton Disk Doctor and got errors that could not be corrected.  I backed up all my data files to my backup drive and also burned them to CD, then I reformatted my OS drive and reinstalled everything.  Imagine my surprise when I found that the partition information on my backup drive had been wiped as well!  Then, when I tried to read the burned CD, I found that the information on there was unreadable!

Ten years of work plus all my personal data...GONE!

I tried several repair utilities, all to no avail. These utilities cost me $500.00 or more *EACH*, and they did NOTHING (yes, I did get full refunds). Finally, I stumbled across your File Scavenger utility.  I downloaded your free demo, and I figured that I had nothing to lose, so what the heck...

Using the Defunct Volume Search, I did a drive scan.  File Scavenger found EVERY file I needed to recover!  I immediately purchased a license and ran a full recovery.  I now have every single bit of work that I lost, and I could even recover the OS, if I wanted to.

This utility is amazingly simple to use, and tremendously effective.  I would recommend it to anyone, anywhere, anytime.  Please feel free to post this testimonial on your site, and I'll be happy to give recommendations to anyone who is considering buying your product.  I'm also going to recommend that our company purchase a corporate license for this utility for our Desktop Support personnel.  It will repay itself with one use!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

  • 2003/03/06 - Douglas Erickson

You have one H... of a piece of software!!!!!!!

My hard drive on my Toshiba laptop crashed and even the local computer store could not recover the contents. And I needed this data....VERY BAD.

I hooked up the drive to a computer, ran the software, and voila! I am so thankful to you guys! Do you realize what it would have cost me to have the data recovered by "the experts"? Most every one quoted me between $500 and $3000. I should call them and say...how about 40 bucks!

    Thank you for everything.

  • 2003/03/06 - Tim Devick

I just wanted to tell you that I bought a copy of your file scanvenger for home and it saved my bacon. I had deleted some files that my partner really, really wanted, and he was quite angry with me for deleting them. Your file scavenger got them back and saved me from the doghouse! I was so impressed that I bought a copy for work too, having accidently deleted some very important files. Again, File Scavenger saved me a lot of pain and stress by recovering my lost files.

  • 2003/03/05 - Skip Larson

Thanks for a great program!!!!  It just saved 48.5 GB of data from a raid 5 array that was reconfigured without a complete current backup. The loss of that data would have been a disaster!  File scavenger recovered over 92,000 files. What a life and job saver !!!

It was the best $40 I have ever spent on software.

  • 2003/03/04 - BJ Lindholm

In today’s modern world many things we hold dear are now stored in electronic format.  Just it’s stored on a disk drive doesn’t mean it’s not just as painful as someone breaking into your house and stealing your family picture albums. This is a piece of software that makes a difference.  It gets back what you lost. If police departments could recover stolen property at the same level that File Scavenger recovers files, we’d only miss our stuff for a few days because we know we’d get it back.

This software does exactly what it’s supposed to do.  It does it well, it does it effectively, it does it efficiently…  It just plain works!

All the other data recovery tools I’ve tried are ineffective compared to File Scavenger.  Don’t waste your time with other junk software.  Start with the best.  Start with File Scavenger.

The best way to support good products in this world is to espouse its virtues to as many people as possible.  That is exactly what I’m going to do.  I doubt I’ll set up a “soap box” in a city park and start preaching about File Scavenger, but you can bet anytime I’m talking to someone about computers I’ll make it a point to mention File Scavenger.

It is an unfortunate brotherhood that many people find themselves in when an accident occurs or a disk drive fails.  It is the brotherhood of data loss.  It can be excruciatingly painful.  But there is a cure for your pain.  It’s called File Scavenger.

If the magazine Maximum PC did a review of your product there is no doubt what so ever that it would score a perfect “10” and also garnering the coveted “Kick ...” Award.  I think I’ll give them a call right now.

  • 2003/02/26 - Mark Adams

I have reinstalled Windows again, so that I could scan the external drive without any other applications running in the background, and ... I have now recovered 95% of the files from the external drive. I am more than happy with this, as I was beginning to think that I had lost everything. I would like to thank you for all of your help. If I can show my appreciation for your product by providing a testimonial, please let me know. Again, thanks for everything, I am EXTREMELY grateful.

  • 2003/02/25 - Kelly Bryant - Teknovation, Inc.

You saved my life today!! I accidentally deleted a large directory of information today (about 570MB) that hadn't been backed up in awhile. I thought I knew what I was doing with the MS Robocopy command, but in reality I mis-typed and wiped out an important directory. Norton SystemWorks 2003 didn't find any info that was deleted. A friend that owns a computer support company tried something he had, but it didn't work either.
I found your software online, tried the demo version and it 'saw' everything I had deleted. I immediately purchased the Personal use version and was able to get my stomach unknotted!
I'll recommend your software to others that run WinXP.

  • 2003/02/17 - Bob

I purchased your program and loved it. It bailed me out of a tough jam.

  • 2003/02/11 - Pierre Gallaz

Just a word to say that you saved my life...

My third, biggest, newest, and (so I thought) safest hard disk was not accessible in Windows anymore. Chkdsk did find the name and structure of the hd, but that's about all the good news I got. Your software is very easy to use and did the job beautifully.

Maybe you could explain a little more what are the probable causes of such hd problems, since I still have no idea as to where all that mess came from in the first place. I guess some software is to blame most of the time, but I'd like to be sure that my new hd is not the problem (it is still covered by guarantee).

  • 2003/02/10 - Jess

I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you for File Scavenger!  My hard drive was accidentally formatted, and I thought a lot of very important work was gone... Fortunately I was able to recover EVERYTHING, even though I'd already reinstalled a few programs before trying.  I'm telling everyone I know to get this program just in case because it's really invaluable!  Thanks again!

  • 2003/01/24 - Dag Lohmann

Just wanted to let you know that everything worked out and I was able to completely recover an external 80 GByte firewire harddrive. Thanks for a working product.

  • 2003/01/22 - Michael McAuliffe, Perth, Western Australia

Many thanks for producing a quality piece of software "File Scavenger". I recovered nearly 20 GB of vital data after my HP Pavilion decided to format my hard drive after a "Non-Destructive System Recovery". I was resigned to losing the data after HP washed their hands of it and my computer technical support people wanted to charge $1000 AUD to do an advance recovery diagnosis with no guarantees. After downloading the demo software and finding nearly all my lost data I purchased the full version and VIOLA.. it was all there about 95% was still intact and useable. It is very user friendly and a competent PC user will find it a breeze. Thanks.

  • 2003/01/20 - Arthur Walunas

First of all, I want to thank you for the great job you did saving my corrupt HD. Dont' know how you did it... but what a relief... and from now on, I'll be known as "Mr. Back-Up!" As soon as I get everything sorted out, I'm saving everything to CD's and the 'storage' HD. I have learned a valuable lesson... All of us that have computers can be thankful there are people like you that know how to solve these problems...

  • 2003/01/20 - Vern Rogers

fyi.... your software is awesome! I recovered all but one file when i inadvertently formatted over 20 GB of data on a slave drive. Thanks QueTek!

  • 2003/01/20 - Tim Furry

    Broken hardware RAID 10

100% recovered!!!. You have my respect and admiration.

You also have my authority to charge the balance of the fee to the same credit card used to purchase the license. You've earned it.

I've made two backups of all the data I wanted to save. The rest of it can be installed from original software. It came out to about 10.5GB.

Now I've got the long road of wiping and re-doing the RAID from scratch...fdisk, surface scans, etc. Probably will be another week before it's up again. The new graphics card is in and seems to be working well, too...maybe I'll be semi-productive in a week. :P

Thanks so much for your help. You've made a lifetime customer. Hopefully I won't need you again. (grin)

  • 2003/01/07 - Claude Gauthier

Your program is amazing. My 60GB hard drive got corrupted, due to the overnet  software program I use for file sharing.  I'm operating a Win2K pro system and my 4 hard drives are all formatted as NTFS drives.

Norton SystemWorks 2003 couldn't find any DOS on the drive, it couldn't even begin to assess the damage.

Microsoft's CHKDSK seemed to be able to see the files as it scanned but it couldn't repair the damage done by the other software. Therefore, in Windows, i got the message that drive D: was corrupted everytime I tried to open it.

Because CHKDSK saw things, I decided not to give up on the drive yet, and see if somehow there were some utilities that could help me out. After searching the web, I found some software, such as Easy Recovery, Recover It All, and others, including yours.

All of them had steep prices to begin with, and none of their demos would prove to me that I could save anything. In fact, all of them kept crashing on the scan, except for yours.

Because of your software, I was able to retrieve nearly everything I thought was lost. It was a smooth job, the software is very easy to use, and talk about stability, your software never crashed at any given point either during the scan, or when I went through the various recoveries.

A hard drive crash is like an act of god, you never know what's gonna get corrupted and lost. I know that your program was able to get through corrupted directories and pull stuff I thought was gone for good.

Anyway, it was the best $40 that i've spent on software. Keep up the good work. Software such as yours should be part of every OS.

I trashed my files (I should say that Windows trashed my files!) accidentally.  I was looking at a $1000 recovery charge.  Looked around the net and found you guys. Wow. Got 90% of everything back intact!  The rest, I can rebuild. Thanks. I saved a bundle and I saved my peace-of-mind. I wish you much success with your enterprise.  I'll be your strongest supporter!

  • 2002/12/30 - Ray

Your solution to registration problem worked well and I am more than impressed with your program.  Everything I needed to recover (approx 30 megs.) was recovered.
Thank you for such a handy utility. I would not believed it possible with a repartitioned and quick formatted disk.
Thank goodness I did not go for full format.. :¬(

Thanks again for your prompt assistance

  • 2002/12/19 - Paul

First, let me say thank you very much for developing this program. I thought I lost all my business details on both my hard drives after having a really bad virus. I re-installed windows on one of them then came across you free trial download for retrieving files.

Well to be honest I thought I would not think it would work after starting to format it, but it did and I saved myself a lot of hard work using you program. The only question is that I have recovered a lot of files but there are some files which will not open and a lot of music files that only now play for 2 secs. Can you let me know if I can do anything about these?

Many thanks and thanks again for saving my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I accidently deleted a source tree off a network drive instead of a local drive, losing about 2 months of work in 5 seconds, and this happening the day before I had to fly interstate to show my boss the new batch of work. Holy cow! After banging the walls and screaming for about 15 minutes, I sat down and thought to myself, "There must be some way to recover those files". Two phone calls later and a computer breakdown technician did a quick web search, and said I should have a look at File Scavenger. Thankfully all my source drives are NTFS, because in about 30 minutes I had downloaded the software, read the help file, paid the (unbelievably cheap) $40 license fee, and recovered all of my source files, well over 1000 of them. Of these, just one, yes one, is not in it's original state, but it can be easily replicated (unlike a lot of the others).

Quetek, I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH!

Everyone running Windows should have File Scavenger, period.

Thank you very much for attending to this matter. I am extremely impressed by the genuine effort you have put forth in helping me obtain this credit.

Your actions ememplify the type of service and support that should be the standard for all progressive, modern day companies. I've used the product and it works great!

  • 2002/12/16 - Barry Turner

Just a few lines to say how relieved I was to be able to get my data back using File Scavenger! What a superb program! I'm glad I moved over to NTFS files system otherwise things wouldn't have gone so well, but I still couldn't have done it without QueTek and File Scavenger. Brilliant, the only word to describe the program.

  • 2002/12/16 - Frank Hale

    Paying you is not enough,

Yesterday I formated my life... well a lot of time and passion (personal photos and zillions of cad drawings). Bought your program and recovered a chunk of my life.

    thankyou thankyou thankyou.

Advice to anyone thinking of what system to format their computer......NTFS. Forget the security issue. Its the dumb factor you should consider.

Thank you for your rapid response support - it is much appreciated!! Following your note with the licence nos below I successfully recovered the majority of the files I required but I found it necessary to do a further scan of the disk as I discovered there are a few more files I need to recover but again the volatile llicence code reared its head.

I have now reinstalled File Scavenger using the downloaded installation file you suggested. I have submitted a further licence transfer which I'm sure your automatic system will challenge but I assume you'll be able to release.

The current Serial No is: X009-27720-A467-62105-29960-30800 which appears to be constant every time I run the product.

Many thanks again for your support for a product which has 'saved my life' if not my sanity (though this volatile licence code is testing that too!!)

  • 2002/12/14 - Kelly

Just wanted to let you know that I was able to use the new code and managed to retrieve more than 95% of all data that Windows wiped out.

I will definitetly be recommending your services!

Subject: File Scavenger 2.0 saved my patooticles--and a lot of files, too

Most of you are aware that a rogue uninstall applet (from no less a reputable vendor as Compaq!) recently deleted thousands of files from my personal server, some of which were irreplaceable, e.g., my tSQL script archive. Searching for a suitable undelete utility was an arduous task. I searched far-&-wide, reviewing and even sampling many pretenders. It was discouraging at times. One such utility actually installed itself to the source drive, potentially overwriting the data I sought to restore! The application didn't even offer an opportunity to install itself on a safe partition, instead recklessly installing itself to C:. Many of the utilities I reviewed only restored files to a designated folder without restoring the original folder structure. With thousands of files, I'm certain you can imagine that this would be better than nothing but nonetheless far from ideal. Finally, I found QueTek's File Scavenger 2.0. A mere $39.95 and twenty minutes were all which was required to restore successfully the vast majority of my files.

Hello, it turns out I just had the drives selected in the wrong order. I changed that, and so far it has been able to recover everything. This is amazing really, as I had not found any other program able to even find all the data on the drives. Thank you very much for your quick support(on a holiday even!) and for your excellent program. I had around 80 gigs of data that I thought was lost, and your program has saved me. Rest assured that I will recommend File Scavenger to anyone in the future who is looking for a data recovery program. Thanks again. This was definately worth my $40. ;)

You guys are the best... Thank you for providing an easy-to-use site where
downloads can be accomplished immediately.  File Scavenger saved me!

  • 2002/10/30 - Harold Vines

When the directory on my RAID 0 system became corrupt, I tried a lot of products, and talked and emailed to a lot of people. I came across products that didn't work to ones that got close but still didn't recover my files. I came across people who knew some but not enough, to people who I must say were pretty much clueless yet were still quite willing to 'try' for a hefty price. I kept thinking there had to be a technical person out there who had the tool and expertise to recover these files at a reasonable cost. When I finally happened upon the staff at Quetek and their tool, all my hopes were met. The tool worked, the staff were extremely helpful, the cost was reasonable and I recovered all my files. I was very impressed and pleased. After successfully working with QueTek, the others I contacted seem like charlatans and price gougers.

You're a life saver man! File Scavenger pulled my chestnuts out of the fire. I retrieved what looks like all the files in the directories. Now I'm just mopping up moving them back to this computer. The weird thing is that I think uninstall is what caused the deletion but I also installed . I can't be sure which thing caused it... but you've got to believe I was surprised to see 10GB of stuff GONE! If there is a testimonial or user review you'd like me to write up let me know! Thanx again and best regards...

I have nearly 5000 files that were doubled.your software recovered all of them.I little inconvenience to delete the surplus is nothing compared to the possibility of losing those files forever…Whether you fix this bug or not.I truly appreciate the technology your company has provided. All the best to you.

  • 2002/10/16 - Terry Stewart

Thank you. This piece of software is a life-saver.

  • 2002/10/15 - Mike McDonald

Your product worked great! We easily recovered everything we needed, and even some stuff that wasn't so important. I had not heard of you guys before, so I have a bit of a concern with giving you my credit card number and e-mail address, etc. We've all heard stories about Internet spam and credit card misuse, etc. Regards....
  • 2002/10/15 - Raul Recarey

Your software was a life saver. Your product is great, but your service is better! Not only did it work as promised and recovered 2 Gigs of very important data, it was an easy process, but getting quick and personalized after-sales-service was just unbelievable.  Killer software that works, instant replies to my questions and $39 bucks...YOU'RE THE MAN!

  • 2002/10/07 - Yannis Arnellos

Your product is excellent . . . Not only I managed to restore my data, but also the program that it was installed on HD worked without to reinstall it. I tried other recovery programs but they couldn't see even one file on the HD.

    Thank you so much!

  • 2002/10/04 - Robert Xeno - Indicative Data / Radio-X Technologies

I am not sure what caused my problems but it started with my C drive, then my D and E and F and finally G all were gone, reformatted! Partition deleted. My email, invoicing, and current development were all gone. I purchased Norton Utilities and after it finally showed me where my files were… I could no longer access the drives! One final attempt at recovery took me to a Yahoo Search result for several companies and recovery products. Fortunately there was something about your search result that caught my eye. I downloaded File Scavenger v2 and within 5 minutes, I was looking at my files. With the recovery panel waiting for my License Number, I purchased the software online, copied the number into the waiting recovery panel and an hour later I have almost 10 gigabytes of data restored!

    Thank you so much!

  • 2002/09/26 - Mary Fiore - Avaya Inc.

Thanks for creating File Scavenger! It worked just great for recovering files that were accidentally deleted and recycled by a departing employee. I appreciate the fact that the demo version allowed me to make sure I would be able to find the exact files I was looking for--before purchasing the license. The $40 license fee saved us many many hours of work.

  • 2002/09/07 - Nicolas Mansour

    Hi,

I just purchased a personal license for Scavenger 2.0 to recover data from a hard drive whose partition was deleted. Your product worked GREAT. Thank God and thank you for making such wonderful reasonably priced product. I looked around at other companies web sites and the cheapest I found was about $200.00. I purchased your product for $39.95 and it worked perfect.

Thanks again and keep up the great work

Subject: Sooner or later this message will be important to you.

Last week we had a hard disk disaster on one of our camera systems. Normally our data is written to the server after each patient but because this was a screening project, the data was not transferred till the end of the day. Well we were ready to transfer, but the disk wasn't. About 60% transferred but the rest of the data could not be read off the disk. :-(
The data was on the D partition and C was running normally.
The computer is running windows 2000 with NTFS formatting.
    Chkdsk didn't recognize the problem.
Norton Utilities saw the problem files and tried to correct it. After it was done the whole drive wasn't recognized by Windows.
I was not feeling very good about our chances of recovery at this point.
We were starting to consider disk recovery services rather than reschedule our patients.
On the Internet I found several disk recovery programs and tried them out. Most of them did not help, as they could not see the D drive or any files.
Enter File Scavenger from Que Tek. I downloaded their demo and did an extended search for the lost file types and it found everything and even duplicated the directory structure on a networked drive.
A $40 program. Well worth the money.

I purchased File Scavenger 2.0 a few days ago after I accidentally reformatted a partition.
    ...
I have to say that of the 4 demo version of data recovery programs, I found only File Scavenger could retrieve my files so I was very pleased with the product.
    Thanks,

I have shown my site IT director your software. I also purchased a Pro Lic. We will probably be buying a site license or maybe a 5 pack. The reason is because of your awesome support with my personal copy and the effectiveness of the software. Thanks again.

I have already (before sending in my machine) rescued invaluable information from my drive, including irreplaceable photos, work records, and personal data. This product has already paid for itself, at least in terms of peace of mind if nothing else.

    Hello.
I just purchased a technician license for File Scavenger 2.0 and have some questions/suggestions.
First, please accept my compliments on the program: it's nicely done.
I intend to use File Scavenger in a computer forensics setting and there are three features that I haven't yet found in the program. If indeed they don't exist, please accept the questions as suggestions for inclusion in a future version.
<... long comments edited out ...
In any event, regardless of whether these suggestions are implemented, thank you for turning out a solid, useful application.

    Hello
Just a quick word of thanks for a great product.
I lost some crucial files, and downloaded your demo application to see if it would help me out of my predicament.
Fortunately your "file scavenger" found my files, and recovered them successfully.
Great work guys .... I will definitely recommend this product to everybody!

I have now used the updated FileScavanger you sent me and it has worked nicely! The files I was seeking to recover have been recovered - marvelous!
I'll need to save them, reinstall the whole system and then use them to update new email set-ups for each user, but my major concern that all the individual settings and lots of email were lost has now been alleviated.
    Thank you!
    Paul.

"To the developers of File Scavenger:

Last evening, one of my employees was deleting some files from our NT Processing System. Somehow, unknown to her or me, she wiped out the most important folder on our entire system. It contained over 5 GB of critical information. Information that changes faster than we can back it up. When I went to the recycle bin, nothing was there, including the folder. We froze the system and after getting my brain to the point where it would function again, I searched the net for "file recovery & NT". One of the first sites I was presented was your site. I downloaded "File Scavenger" and was able to find every file we had on the system. Thanks to you, we have recovered every bit of information that was lost. We paid with a credit card, but we still owe you a huge amount of gratitude. Thank you from everyone here at Dolphin Software."

  • Ola Rennemo, Germany

    "The product works!"

  • Marc Hawes, United Kingdom

"Thanks for your quick reply. Your new Filescav.exe seems to have done the trick! It sailed passed the "hanging" point without me having to look at individual clusters. I have managed to retrieve the files I want. Thank you once again for an excellent product. I have also somehow managed to acquire files that were not even on my hard disc. How is that?!!"

  • Leonard Sackler

"Tried your latest version. It's a winner. Though all the information (the files found on the disk) was available and recovered with the first version, the security of being able to verify the entire disk is incredibly important. By identifying and skipping damaged clusters there is great assurance that I did all I can.

Thank you for developing, refining and allowing me to try/use your excellent product. I hope you have great fortune with it. I know I would recommend it to anyone."
