File Scavenger® usually displays the errors a few times and moves on. Occasionally, however, it may hang. In that case, the program (or even Windows® in some cases) must be restarted.

Excluding bad sectors from the search

To avoid the bad sectors, click Options, Search, Sector Exclusion. Specify the range of sectors to be excluded and add them to the exclusion list.
