Running File Scavenger® from www.quetek.com

Under this procedure, the File Scavenger® executable file is run directly from a web link.

Warning: If you are recovering files from a system drive (see “Chapter 2: Data or System Drive?”), this procedure will slightly reduce the chance of success.
This procedure creates only a few files on the boot drive, much fewer than a direct installation (see “Direct Installation” later in this chapter). Under this procedure, online Help information is not available.

• In Windows® XP, 2003 and 2000, click the Start button. Click Run, type the following link, and click OK:

• In Windows® Vista, click Start and type the link above in the Search box.
• Confirm any security prompts.
